Here are some of the takeaways from the 2025 Engagement Survey:

  • Participation increased 15% and engagement increased 4% from 2024!

  • 77% of respondents said they feel that they belong at CareVet

  • 69% of respondents feel their ideas and suggestions count

  • 70% of respondents said they have honest communication within their hospital

What We Plan to Focus on in 2025:

Based on your feedback, we’re focusing on several key initiatives:

  • Better Internal Communication: Using FetchConnect, we plan to offer more regular updates! We want to hear your ideas via our magic wand tool within FetchConnect as well.

  • Investing in Career Development: We are launching a new clinical mentorship opportunity.
  • Clear Performance Standards: Continuing our 2024 goal of creating clearer performance standards for our Team Members.

Meet Juniper Dispenza: March Pet of the Month

β€œTuffy was a client surrender in 2016 when she was 8 weeks old, weighing 0.8 lbs. Thought to have had megaesophagus, we took her to Missouri’s veterinary college where after fluoroscopy she was diagnosed with GERD.  In 2018, she endured an atlantoaxial subluxation of her neck where she was paralyzed in all four extremities.  She went to Mississippi State Veterinary College for surgery. With pins in her neck she is able to get around.  Quite wobbly, but independent.  In 2023 she started to have seizures. Nashville Veterinary Specialists performed an MRI and she was diagnosed with epilepsy.  Her seizures are now controlled.  She may have gone through a lot in her little life, but her strength and drive is what has kept me going.  When my wife suffered terminal cancer and passed away, Tuffy is what gave her strength to hold on, and she gave me the strength to continue to try to live with out having my wife and best friend of 20 years. She is so strong and her will power to keep pushing is amazing.  This little girl who was malnourished at 8 weeks old and pitiful when she came into my life has been the best thing that has come into my life.  I would do anything for her.  Her name is Tuffy because that is exactly who she is… Tough.”

Clinical Trial Opportunities on Clinical Connect

In addition to clinical β€œdrops” and educational resources, Clinical Connect provides doctors with access to an up-to-date, searchable database on clinical trials and research opportunities. The site also includes highlighted trials of special note from our vendor partners.

We are specifically working to help our partners enroll patients in these three trials:

  • Ardent is seeking participation in a canine cancer trial

  • Loyal is actively testing lifespan extension drugs in dogs

  • Dechra is studying canine and feline patients to evaluate the efficacy and safety of a novel, long-acting insulin

To learn more about the specific trials, please visit Clinical Connect. If you have questions or would like contacts for any of the studies, please contact Elizabeth Garant at egarant@carevethealth.com
