Hello CareVet Team Members,

We're excited to share this special edition of our monthly newsletter, chock-full of information from Dr. Kent Thornberry's recent town hall all about our 2025 Clinical Initiatives which can be viewed on-demand using CareVet Learning Institute by clicking here!

No time to watch? No worries! We have summarized all of the key information for you below. We hope you are as excited as we are for all of the great things to come this year and beyond!

CareVet 2025 Clinical Initiatives

CareVet is redefining veterinary excellence by prioritizing clinical outcomes and empowering our Veterinarians and teams with knowledge, innovation, and collaboration. Through advanced training, expert advisory boards, and evidence-based medicine, we are driving meaningful advancements in patient care and setting a new industry standard.

How will CareVet own outcomes?

Premier Centers

CareVet’s Premier Centers are leading hospitals staffed by highly skilled teams specializing in areas like dermatology and dentistry. Serving as hubs for research, clinical trials, and advanced training, these centers push the boundaries of veterinary medicine while ensuring pets receive the highest level of care.

Clinical and Specialty

Advisory Board

CareVet’s Clinical Advisory Board, composed of internal DVMs, and Specialty Advisory Board, made up of external experts, will collaborate to advance veterinary medicine through innovation, research, and mentorship. By solving complex cases, trialing new treatments, and integrating AI and technology, these boards will elevate clinical standards across the CareVet network.

Training and Knowledge Sharing

CareVet's Clinical Operations Advisory and Support Team will deliver weekly clinical insights, best practices, and training resources to support our Veterinarians and teams in achieving better patient outcomes. From disease presentations to client communication strategies, we plan to elevate our knowledge-sharing capabilities, empowering our network with the latest advancements in veterinary care.

What’s Coming Next?

  • We will share opportunities for CareVet Veterinarians and teams to train at Premier Hospitals and learn from leaders in best medicine by Q2-2025.

  • We will provide CareVet Veterinarians direct access and guidance from our Clinical Advisory Boards on Evidence-Based Medicine to leading outcomes by Q2-2025.

  • We will provide hospitals with opportunities to be a part of clinical trials and research by Q2-2025.

  • We will conduct wet lab training at Mississippi State University in the Summer 2025.

  • We will host our 2025 New Graduate Cohort training at the Viticus Center again in Fall 2025.

Forward Booking Updates!

We are thrilled to see so much forward booking success across CareVet's network in January! If your hospital is still working to improve, we wanted to share WHY forward booking is so important!

Forward booking is crucial as it ensures a steady flow of appointments, which helps in managing the hospital's resources and staff efficiently. By scheduling future appointments, the hospital can better anticipate and prepare for the needs of its patients, reducing wait times and improving the overall quality of care. Additionally, forward booking helps in maintaining consistent communication with pet owners, reminding them of necessary follow-ups and preventive care, which can lead to better health outcomes for their pets
